Banarasi Chiffon taashpha silk  is a sheer, lightweight, crepe fabric named after the early 20th century French Dressmaker Chiffon  Plante. Originally made from silk, Chiffon is made from highly twisted yarns. Its chiffon which is also commonly used and the basic difference between the two is their appearance and weight. Chiffon has a thicker ply resulting in a heavier and a more durable fabric.
